Rajesh Datar is a distinguished vocalist whose music reflects depth, devotion and the graceful traditions of the Gwalior Gharana. Known for his expressive renditions across classical, semi-classical and devotional music, he has earned a respected place in the world of Indian music.
He received his training under esteemed gurus Pt. Dattopant Agashe, Pt. Manoharpant Dabke, Pt. Ram Mate and Pt. Madhusudan Patwardhanwho shaped his musical discipline and aesthetic understanding. A Sangeet Visharad with Distinction, securing first rank.

Mr. Datar has recorded 200+ Marathi and Hindi albums, covering classical, devotional, light music and ghazals, and has lent his voice to 20+ Marathi feature films as a playback singer.

He is also the Founder Member & President of the Sarvotkarsha Public Charitable Trust, dedicated to promoting Indian Classical, Semi-Classical, Folk, Filmy and Non-Filmy music and fostering cultural harmony through musical initiatives.
